Dr. Pollock has extensive experience and interest in the fields of
dental implant placement and laser surgery, including some cosmetic
procedures and laser treatment of snoring and sleep apnea. These services
are safely and comfortably performed using the latest in local and

Surgical Staff
The surgical staff at Rockwall Oral and Facial Surgery are experienced
oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants, who assist in the administration
of IV sedation and surgery. All staff are AAOMS Certified, CPR certified
and act under the direct supervision of Dr. Pollock, he is advanced
cardiac life support (ACLS) certified. The administrative personnel,
in addition to being CPR certified as well, are also well versed
in today's health and insurance policies.
Anesthesia
A surgical procedure requires an anesthetic. A local anesthetic
may be injected to numb the treatment area. A general anesthetic
or intravenous sedation can be used if you wish to be asleep during
the procedure. A local anesthetic is used along with this type of
anesthetic for your added comfort. If you have been scheduled for
a general anesthetic or I.V. sedation during your procedure, do
not eat or drink anything for six hours prior to your appointment.
You must make arrangements for your ride to remain in our office
while you are here. Dr. Pollock has extensive training in general
anesthesia and deep sedation and is specifically licensed by the
State of Texas to administer these anesthetics. He has passed qualifying
examinations making him a Fellow of the American Society for Dental
Anesthesiology.
Prescriptions
We will give prescriptions for medications when you visit our office.
For patients of record, appropriate medication refills can be obtained
by telephone during the hours of 7:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday through
Friday. No pain medications will be renewed by telephone during
nights (4:30 pm-7:30 am) or on weekends.
Hospitalization
Certain conditions and procedures may require hospitalization or
the use of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities (same day surgery facility).
In that event, one of our office staff will make the appropriate
arrangements with the selected facility to prepare for your admission.
The hospital will contact you prior to admission in order to obtain
further personal and insurance information. Dr. Pollock has staff
privileges at Lake Pointe Medical Center. We provide inpatient coverage
so that a surgeon is available at all times. You will be visited
daily during this time. We understand that your family may have
questions during your hospital stay. If a member of your family
is unable to be present during the surgeon's visit, please feel
free to have them call our office and ask for our clinical supervisor
who will relay their concerns to Dr. Pollock.
Financial
Policy
The fee for your examination or treatment will vary depending on
the complexity of your individual case and whether x-rays or special
treatments are necessary. We provide our patients with a separate
information sheet describing our financial policies. Because each
patient's insurance coverage and credit situation is different,
a member of out staff will privately discuss the individual financial
arrangements for your treatment at the time of your appointment.
