Gum Disease
If the impacted tooth is still there, it can hurt more than just your jaw and other teeth. Your gums could end up sore as well. You could end up with painful swollen gums, as well as extra bleeding. This will make it hard to eat, and it could even be painful to talk.
Dental Abscess
An impacted tooth could lead to an abscess in your mouth. This is a small pocket of pus in your gums right next to the tooth. If left untreated, an abscess could lead to an infection. That could spread not only through your mouth, but also through your entire body. An abscess can be dangerous, you do not want to take a chance.
Tooth Decay
An impacted tooth could become decayed over time. This will lead to pain, bad breath, and other problems.
