WHAT FACTORS INTO THE COST OF DENTAL IMPLANT SURGERY?
There is no denying that the cost of dental implant surgery can be steep, especially since most insurance companies do not cover the expenses involved in this procedure. The expenses can range between $1,000 and as much as $5,000 for one implant.
Why the difference, you ask? Well, it depends upon a lot of factors like the number of teeth to be replaced, your location, the dentist itself, and so on. We will discuss some of these factors below.
Like Real Property, Location Matters in Implants
For the real property industry, it is all about location, location, location. The same goes for your tooth replacement.
A front tooth implant would be more costly compared to molars at the back of your teeth because of the complexity involved and the abutment is pricier. You can probably get away with cheaper material for the molar, but you cannot do so with your front teeth.
In a big city like New York or Los Angeles, where the standard cost of living is very high, you can expect to pay more for the implant compared to say, Indiana, for instance.
Of course, it stands to reason that the number of teeth to be replaced will impact on the cost. We typically charge per implant, and you multiply that by the quantity of pieces.
Now if you are looking at a full set of teeth, you are looking at least $30,000 to 40,000 up to $90,000, or the price of a luxury car. There is a way around this, however, as you can just settle on two or four implants then a bridge in between.
