SHOULD ALL-ON-4 IMPLANTS BE YOUR SOLUTION FOR MISSING TEETH?

If you have a number of missing teeth, one solution could be All-on-4 Implants instead of traditional dentures. There are a number of benefits to this system of implants. First, you get permanent teeth that you don’t have to take out regularly, unlike dentures.

Second, All-on-4 implants only require four posts, so there are fewer implants. In general, you also do not require bone grafting. However, in some cases, All-on-4 implants may not be the right solution for you.

You Have a Number of Natural Teeth Left

All-on-4 implants are designed to replace all of the teeth on your upper or lower jaw. If you still have a number of your natural teeth and they’re healthy, it may be better to go with another option instead of having them all extracted.

While most of the time our patients have All-on-4 implants installed on both the upper and lower jaw, there could be cases where only the upper or lower teeth are replaced with implants.

You Have a Weak Jaw

Because all of the implanted teeth are held in place with four posts, you do need to have a good amount of bone in your jaw to anchor them to. If your jawbone has deteriorated due to one of a number of different issues, you may not be a good candidate for implants. In some cases, we may be able to do a bone graft in order to strengthen your jaw.

Overall, if you’re looking for strong, permanent teeth, then All-on-4 implants should certainly be considered, even if it turns out they’re not the right solution for you. If you’re embarrassed about your teeth or are tired of dealing with dentures, implants can change your life.
